Pre-licensure Education Requirements

All applicants for a Community Association Manager’s license must complete an 18-hour pre-licensure course prior to being approved to take the state examination. Part VIII, Chapter 468, F.S. requires individuals be licensed who provide community association management services for community associations where the individual manages more than 50-units of an association or associations with a total budget(s) in excess of $100,000.00

Management services include:

  • controlling or disbursing funds
  • assisting in noticing or conducting meetings
  • preparing budgets or other financial documents
  • coordinating maintenance
